Take up one idea

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced.”

Swami Vivekananda

Did Vivekananda take up only one idea at a time? He tried asanas, biceps, dumbels, horse-riding all at a time. Yet he was overweight.

He tried Patanjali's Rajayoga, Sankaracharya's Gnaana Yoga, Krishna's Karma Yoga and Ramakrishna PH's Bhakti Yoga all at a time. He ended up sacrificing goat to Goddess Kali during his terminal days of illness.
